The New York Giants fell apart down the stretch, struggling to stop teams at critical times. Now, Big Blue has an opportunity to fortify its defense in the draft.
In the latest SB Nation mock draft by Matthew Fairburn and Dan Kadar, the Giants take Arthur Brown, an inside linebacker of the Kansas State Wildcats.
Brown is one of the most athletic players in the draft, the type of linebacker who can struggle at the point of attack but can fly and dominate sideline-to-sideline.
With the Giants, Brown would be able to hide behind an excellent defensive line, allowing him to roam in space and use his speed to find the ball carrier.
There is no denying that Brown is undersized by most metrics at 241 pounds, but Brown finds a way to make plays. Drafting Brown might be a bit of a reach at No. 19 overall, but if general manager Jerry Reese falls in love with him, it's very possible.
