In SB Nation's latest mock draft, the New York Jets are slated to select defensive end DaMontre Moore of Texas A&M with the No. 9 overall pick.
New York has all kinds of issues and getting some pressure on the quarterback is certainly at the top of the list. Moore won't fit the Jets' 3-4 scheme as an end, so in this scenario he'll be moved to an outside linebacker spot where he can use his speed off the edge.

There isn't much top-quality offensive talent in this draft, which hurts teams like New York who could really use the help on that side of the ball.
Anyone who has seen the trio of Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow and Greg McElroy knows the Jets' executives would probably run over a group of small children to get a quarterback, but that is unlikely in the first round for New York.
