The New York Knicks need to strengthen their front court and may turn to Jermaine O'Neal for help. It's hardly ideal, but it's something and, according to Chris Broussard, it is an option they are investigating.

The Knicks shouldn't have to give up too much for O'Neal, who has reportedly been on the trade block ever since he and Suns general manager Lance Blanks got into a confrontation.
O'Neal is only going to provide so much help. He's averaging just 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Phoenix Suns, but that is enough for the Knicks, who would probably just like to replace Kurt Thomas' minutes. O'Neal can do that and give their second unit a bit of a boost, plus another big man is always worth picking up as long as Amar'e Stoudemire is easing his way back.
