The New York Jets could not have asked for a worse start on offense for the 2012 season, as Mark Sanchez threw a shovel pass that bounced through the hands of Jeff Cumberland and was intercepted by Bryan Scott of the Buffalo Bills.
Given the potential radioactive situation at quarterback between Sanchez and back-up Tim Tebow, early miscues will only make the situation worse. Luckily for the Jets, they had a much better second drive, with Sanchez driving the team down the field and throwing a touchdown pass to Jeremy Kerley. The Jets lead the Bills 7-0 with 6:02 left in the first quarter
