Mets Vs. Braves Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers

Chipper Jones will play in his penultimate game in Queens on Saturday, as the New York Mets play host to the Atlanta Braves at 4:05 p.m. ET.

The Mets are hosting the Braves for the final time in 2012 this weekend, and Saturday's game is the middle game of a three-game set between the two rivals. The trip is Jones' final trip to Queens, as the first-ballot Hall of Famer is retiring after the 2012 season.

Jeremy Hefner gets the start for the Mets. The start will be Hefner's 10th start of the year, and 22nd appearance. To date, Hefner has a 4.52 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and has struck out 47 batters against just 12 walks in 75 and 2/3 innings of work on the season.

New York's offense, meanwhile, has the tough task of solving Kris Medlen. Medlen comes into the game with a 7-1 record and microscopic 1.56 ERA and .96 WHIP. In his last 10 appearances, Medlen has surrendered just three runs total, dating back to July 21, and has given up no runs in his last four starts, upping his consecutive scoreless inning streak to 36 and 1/3.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET. Televised coverage can be found on FOX.
