The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys are set to officially open the 2012 NFL season as the two teams face-off from MetLife Stadium on Wednesday night.
Of course that's the big news surrounding the Giants, but in news you may not have heard, New York made a change to its practice squad by re-signing wide receiver Brandon Collins according to Ed Valentine, Big Blue View blogger:
Collins was signed as a rookie free agent on May 14 from Southeastern Louisiana and was with the team until he was waived on Aug. 27. He played in the Giants' first three preseason games, but did not have a reception. Collins was impressive at times during the preseason, but could not crack the team's deep receiving corps
