With just two days until the 2012 NFL season kicks off at MetLife Stadium, there are still plenty of question marks surrounding injured Giants and Cowboys. Prince Amukamara, Hakeem Nicks, Marvin Austin, and James Brewer did not practice again on Monday. Nicks is still expected to play, while Amukamara has been definitively ruled out. Overall, there were no changes from Sunday on Tom Couglin's injury report.
The big question on the Cowboys' side remains with All-Pro tight end Jason Witten, who is set to have a final scan on Tuesday before Dallas departs for New Jersey. Witten, who's recovering from a lacerated spleen suffered in a preseason game against the Raiders, returned to practice over the weekend and there was increased optimism about his return. He was limited in practice again on Monday, but the final determination will be made after the scan on Tuesday by the doctors. Monday's complete injury report:
