The New York Red Bulls took care of business on Saturday night at Red Bull Arena, beating Toronto FC 4-1.
New York further solidified a playoff position in the Eastern Conference by beating Toronto, which has been in the conference cellar for most of the season.
The Red Bulls fell behind early in the game when FC scored in the sixth minute on a goal by Ryan Johnson. However, New York took total control of the match from then on, scoring the final three markers of the affair.
Markus Holgersson got the Red Bulls on the board in the 13th minute, before Kenny Cooper put his squad ahead for good with a goal of his own in the 27th minute.
The contest would stay at 2-1 for most of the second half until the Red Bulls put any doubt to rest with another Cooper score in the 88th minute. Theirry Henry added one more for good measure in extra time to cap the scoring.
New York took 21 shots in the game compared to just 11 by Toronto.
