Mets vs. Braves preview: game time, TV schedule, probable pitchers

The New York Mets will take on the Atlanta Braves on Saturday in Game 2 of a three-game series in Atlanta.

The Mets don't have much to play for, but they have suddenly become one of baseball's hottest teams. New York has won seven out of eight games, and can still play the role of spoiler. A win today for the Mets would seriously diminish Atlanta's chances of winning the NL East.

The Mets will send veteran Chris Young to the hill. The former Padre has been serviceable for New York this season, but has struggled to get much run support. Overall, he is 4-8 with a 4.21 ERA.

The Braves will counter with Mike Minor, who has been excellent in his last four starts. During that span, Minor has allowed just ten hits and three earned runs. He has not lost a start since Aug 19.

Saturday's game will start at 7:10 ET and air on SNY.
