2012 NFL power rankings: New York Jets rise in polls, Week 4

Heading into Week 4, the New York Jets have climbed in several power ranking polls.

Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The New York Jets climbed in several power rankings on Tuesday after the team's come-from-behind victory against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. SB Nation's power rankings boosted the team four spots and have them ranked at No. 16.

In addition, ESPN and NFL.com both have the team ranked in the top 20 and moved them up the polls. However, each outlet makes note of the fact that the loss of All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis for the remainder of the season is the worst thing that could have happened to the Jets.

Via SB Nation's Joel Thorman:

Outside of quarterbacks, Darrelle Revis is the most important player on any team in the league. Awful situation for the Jets.

Here is where the Jets rank in the polls heading into Week 4:

SB Nation: No. 16

ESPN: No. 17

NFL.com: No. 17
