Jets Roster Moves: Gang Green Claims Three Players Off Waivers

The New York Jets were awarded three players on waivers Saturday. The Jets claimed claimed nose tackle Isaako Aaitui, wide receiver Clyde Gates and tiight end Konrad Reuland. To make room on the 53-man roster the Jets waived safety Antonio Allen, defensive tackle Marcus Dixon and tight end Dedrick Epps.

Aaitui, 6-foot-4, 315 pounds, spent part of last season the Miami Dolphins practice squad. The Dolphins waived him on Friday.

Gates, 5-foot-11, 197 pounds is a former fourth-round draft pick by Miami in 2011, caught two passes last season for 19 yards and returned 34 kickoffs for 843 yards (24.3 average). He spent training camp with the Dolphins prior to being waived.

Reuland, 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, spent last season the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. He was waived by the 49ers on Friday.

The Jets also announced their practice squad. It consists of:

Paul Cornick (OT), Marcus Dowtin (LB), Donnie Fletcher (DB), Royce Pollard (WR), Ricky Sapp (LB), Hayden Smith (TE), Jordan White (WR). There is one more spot available on the practice squad.
