The New York Giants opened as 2.5-point favorites for their Thursday night game in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers, but the line has since moved closer to even. Depending on the sportsbook referenced, the Giants are now favored by 1.5-half points, 1 point, or are even money with the Panthers. The total for the game opened at 52, but has since moved down to either 51 or 51.5 points (again depending on the sportsbook).
The Giants enter this game 1-1, but are 0-2 against the spread. New York failed to cover in its opening loss to the Cowboys, and failed to cover as 7.5-point favorites in its 41-34 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.
The Panthers also failed to cover against the Bucs, when they lost to them in Week 1. But the Panthers bounced back in Week 2, coming in as 3-point underdogs against the New Orleans Saints, but winning the game outright, 35-27.
Thursday will mark the first road game for the Giants this season; kickoff will be at 8:20 p.m. in Charlotte.
