The New York Giants face a quick turnaround this week as they travel to Bank of America Stadium to face the Carolina Panthers in the Thursday Night Football game on NFL Network (8:20 p.m. ET). The game continues an odd start to the season for the Giants, who began the season on a Wednesday against the Dallas Cowboys, waited 11 days to play their second game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and now face Carolina on a short week.
Both teams enter the game 1-1.
Carolina, of course, is led by quarterback Cam Newton. The second-year quarterback has completed 37-of-53 passes for 556 yards and two touchdowns thus far, a passer rating of 100.8 Newton also leads Carolina with 75 yards rushing through two games.
The Giants could be without starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw (neck), right tackle David Diehl (knee) and third wide receiver Domenik Hixon (concussion) this week. The status of cornerback Prince Amukamara (high ankle sprain), who has not played yet this season, is also still to be determined.
