The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have their work cut out for them going up against the South Florida Bulls, as oddsmakers have the Bulls favored by more than a touchdown against Kyle Flood's squad.
Rutgers has been firmly in control of its first two games, a 24-12 contest against Tulane and a shutout against Howard. But those non-conference games won't determine how good a team the Scarlet Knights are this year. USF will provide a more difficult road environment than Tulane - albeit still in a semi-empty NFL stadium - and unlike Howard, a team led by B.J. Daniels now in his fifth year likely won't go 60 minutes without putting up any points on the board. The short week will make preparing for Thursday night's game tough, but that's something both teams have to deal with.
Opening line: South Florida, -9.5
Current line: South Florida, -8
