Mark Sanchez Nominated For Week 1 'Never Say Never' Moment

The New York Jets' offense performance Sunday against the Buffalo Bills has helped quarterback Mark Sanchez earn a nomination for the NFL's "never say never' moment of Week 1. Sanchez, who threw for three touchdowns passes in the dominating 48-28 victory over the Bills, joined Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo as nominees.

Sanchez's nomination stems from the Jets' lousy preseason, which featured New York scoring its first offensive touchdown on its 37th drive of the preseason. It was expected that the Jets' offense would struggle against the Bills' new-and-improved defensive line, but that didn't happen as New York scored 48 points in its season-opener.

Overall, Sanchez finished the game 19 of 26 for 266 passing yards.
