College Football Rankings: Rutgers Receives Votes After 2-0 Start

With their 26-0 win against Howard, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are off to a 2-0 start in 2012 and have been impressive enough to draw some recognition in the weekly college football rankings.

Rutgers isn't ranked in either the Associated Press Top 25 or the USA Today Coaches' Poll, but they did receive 12 votes in the coaches' poll. This, after they received just one vote in the coaches' poll last week. The 12 votes put the Scarlet Knights 38th overall.

Louisville is the only Big East team ranked in either poll this week. The Cardinals are No. 19 in the AP poll and No. 20 in the coaches' poll. South Florida is the only other Big East team to receive votes in the AP poll while four Big East teams received a vote in the coaches' poll. In addition to Louisville, Rutgers and South Florida, Cincinnati also received votes in the coaches' poll this week.
