The New York Jets came out swinging on Sunday after being kicked around for the entire preseason, handing the Buffalo Bills a 48-28 defeat at MetLife Stadium.
Another positive was the apparent lack of any serious injuries. The most serious: Darrelle Revis was inadvertently kicked in the head, and the All-Pro corner's status is uncertain at this point.
Other injuries include a pair of hamstring issues. Both wide receiver Patrick Turner and linebacker Bryan Thomas limped off the field with ailments and never returned.
Turner wouldn't be a huge blow to the Jets considering he's one of the last options in the passing game. However, Thomas missing any extended time would definitely impact the defense.
Sione Pouha missed the opener but could return for Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On the positive side of things, Santonio Holmes played the whole game without complaint after being banged up for much of the preseason.
