The New York Mets will look to win their sixth out of seven, as they make a play for third place in the National League East.
They'll look to Jeremy Hefner for a second straight stellar outing, after he pitched eight innings and allowed one run on Sunday.
He'll face off against Josh Johnson, who really struggled in his last outing, surrendering ten hits and six earned runs in just three innings of work. The big righty hasn't won a game since Aug. 3.
The Mets' pitching is the primary cause of their recent hot streak. Cy Young hopeful R.A. Dickey has been masterful, but Jon Niese, Matt Harvey, and Jeremy Hefner also deserve credit.
Meanwhile, New York's offense continues to struggle, as they've scored more than three runs just once in their last 13 games. The Mets won last night, despite mustering only four hits.
Saturday's game is scheduled for 7:10 PM, and can be found on SNY.
