The sliding New York Yankees have lost three of their last four games as the Baltimore Orioles continue to gain ground in the race for the American League East.
The Orioles, winners of six out of their last seven, now trail the Yanks by only two games. Both teams have 31 games remaining this season.
On Saturday, the Yankees will look to rookie David Phelps for some pitching help. The former Notre Dame star has started only six games this season, appearing as a reliever as well.
The Orioles will counter with Wei-Yin Chen, their Taiwanese rookie who has been dependable down the stretch so far. Chen has posted a 3.78 ERA in 26 starts this season, including two solid starts against the Yankees.
The Bronx Bombers continue to miss Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira, hitting just .226 as a team in their last ten games.
Saturday's game will start at 1:05 and can be found on YES.
