Tennessee Titans and former Rutgers wide receiver Kenny Britt had a meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday, following his most recent arrest. Britt walked away from the meeting with a sense of foreboding, knowing that the league's chief disciplinarian was none too pleased to see him.
Britt refused to speculate on the possibility of a suspension, but he did offer the Tennessean some insight into the meeting:
"What is my gut telling me? I really don't know. He didn't really give me any body language on what is going to happen. He just wasn't really pleased about seeing me in there. No person would like to see a player in their office twice in one year."
He also sounded a note of acceptance about whatever punishment may be coming.
Britt was arrested in July for a DUI on the army base at Fort Campbell, Ky. It was his eighth incident with the police since the Titans selected the former Scarlet Knight in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
