PGA Championship 2012: Picks And Predictions

The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island will be the scene on Thursday when the PGA Championship kicks off in earnest. The tour has seen some memorable moments this year, especially at the British Open and Masters. Perhaps another dandy is in the wings.

The question is who can come up big? Well, here are a few names to keep an eye on.

Tiger Woods is a usual suspect to win, and that's not changing this week. Woods is the betting favorite to win another major, even though he's fallen short in his previous three attempts this year. However, Woods looks more comfortable with his new swing by the day.

Farrell Evans of ESPN.com thinks Woods has a terrific opportunity to taste sweet victory.

Keegan Bradley is another man to watch. He won the PGA Championship last year and is playing some of his best golf at the moment. If Bradley can keep the momentum going, he might just be able to claim his second major.

We also can't forget about Rory McIlroy. He hasn't been the stud many experts thought he could be in 2012, but he's still had an excellent year. Kevin Maguire of ESPN has McIlroy pegged as the happiest guy on the course come Sunday.

Another trendy pick is Jason Dufner. He's quietly put together a very nice season and could make a big splash over the weekend. He's the pick of many including Chris Dunham, Ryan Smithson and Brian Wacker of PGATour.com.
