Ware, a five-year veteran, had his best season in 2011 when he served as the Giants' third-down back. He carried 46 times for 163 yards (3.5 yards per carry) and caught 27 passes for 190 yards. He was made expendable by the strong preseason performances of Andre Brown and Da'Rel Scott, and by the presence of first-round draft choice David Wilson.

Ojomo, from Miami, was impressive in the preseason. He will fill the roster spot vacated by Dave Tollefson, who signed as a free agent with the Oakland Raiders.

The Giants also cut recently-signed defensive tackle Marcus Thomas, who started 11 games for the Denver Broncos a season ago.
