2012 Summer Olympics: Cullen Jones Takes Silver During Men's 50-Meter Freestyle Final

The United States' dominance in the pool has been briefly interrupted. New York native Cullen Jones will take home the silver medal in the final of the men's 50-meter freestyle after missing out on gold by just .20 seconds. The gold instead goes to France's Florent Manaudou. World record holder Cesar Cielo of Brazil took home the bronze with a time of 21.59, .25 seconds behind the winner.

Jones finished with a time of 21.54 seconds. The United States had previous secured gold medals in the pool on Friday thanks to stellar efforts from Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin in their respective events. Brazil's Bruno Fratus finished fourth with a time of 21.61.
