Eli Manning Tweaks ESPN Over Jets Coverage

Eli Manning and the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants may not really care about the fact that the New York Jets get much more media attention than they do. That, however, does not mean they don't notice. Manning made that obvious Thursday.

"Whenever you turn on the TV, it’s the Jets. SportsCenter is just camped out at the Jets’ complex. I think they’re moving everything from Bristol to right over at the Jets’ complex there. That’ll be an interesting move," Manning said while appearing on ESPN Radio New York 97.7 FM.

Manning, however, offered a solution.

“I told David Carr to take his shirt off while we were running sprints after practice,to see if he can get the same coverage."

↵

Manning, of course, was referring to the recent photo of Tim Tebow of the Jets running shirtless in the rain.

The headlines the Giants want to generate are about winning games. Manning made it obvious, though, that the champs are feeling overlooked.
