The Jets made six moves Monday and now have 74 players on their roster. Below is a complete list of the Jets initial cuts.

Waived

Damario Ambrose (LB / 6'5 / 270 / Arkansas / Mobile, AL)

Stanley Arukwe (WR / 6'0 / 180 / Troy / Tracy, CA)

Wes Kemp (WR / 6'4 / 220 / Missouri / St. Louis, MO)

Jeremy Stewart (RB / 6'1 / 218 / Stanford / Baton Rouge, LA)

Josh Baker (FB/TE / 6'3 / 224 / Northwest Missouri State / Chesapeake, VA)

Brown's release means Nick Folk has once again won the Jets' kicking job. Folk made 19-of-25 attempts last season, his second with the Jets.

The next cut date is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 31. The Jets and the rest of the NFL will have to set their final 53-man rosters then.
