Yankees At Indians Rubber Match Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers

The New York Yankees lost game two of a three-game series against the Cleveland Indians last night, 3-1, setting up today's rubber match at Cleveland's Progressive Field beginning at 1:05 p.m. Eastern. Justin Masterson recorded the win for the Tribe in last night's contest, going 6.2 innings and only giving up one run on a Mark Teixeira sacrifice fly in the sixth. Hiroki Kuroda suffered the tough loss for the Yankees. He gave up three runs in the bottom of the first on a Michael Brantley home run, but posted zeroes after that.

Pitching today for New York is Freddy Garcia (7.5, 4.96 ERA). Garcia is 8-6 with a 3.83 ERA all time against Cleveland. On the bump for the Indians will be Ubaldo Jimenez (9-12, 5.59 ERA), who has only faced the Yankees twice in his career. He is 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA over those two games.

The Yankees have had trouble securing wins on the road lately, dropping four of their last five outside of Yankee Stadium. After today's game, the Bombers will return to the Bronx to face Toronto in a three-game series, the first of several against AL East opponents. New York is currently 3.5 games ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays for the division lead.

The game will be broadcast on the YES Network in New York and the STO Network in Cleveland.
