The Mets will host the Houston Astros for Game 2 of a series between two of the coldest teams in baseball. The Mets have lost six in a row and haven't scored more than two runs in over a week. The Astros snapped their own losing streak on Friday against the Mets, having previously lost seven straight.
The Mets send one of their few bright spots to the mound on Saturday, as R.A. Dickey will try for the third time to pick up his 16th win. He was stellar his last time out (7 IP, 3 hits, 1 ER), but the Mets provided minimal run support in a 3-1 loss to the Rockies. Dickey is currently second in the National League with 181 strikeouts.
The Astros will counter with Fernando Abad, who will make his first career start, having previously served as a Houston relief pitcher.
Today's game will start at 1:10 ET and can be found on WPIX.
