New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara was carted off the field during Friday night's preseason game against the Bears with an apparent foot injury.
The injury happened to the same foot that caused Amukamara to miss a big chunk of the 2011 season. He was attempting to tackle Bears wideout Brandon Marshall when he went down. He was taken to the locker room on the cart for further examination and X-rays.
Amukamara was getting increased action with the first team in place of the already injured Terrell Thomas, who re-injured his knee. It was expected that he would play corner opposite Corey Webster. The Giants have not yet released the severity of the injury but his night in Chicago is certainly done.
