The New York Yankees will look to end a three-game losing streak when they travel to Progressive Field to challenge the Cleveland Indians in the first game of a three-game set on Friday night. Coming off a series sweep at the hands of the Chicago White Sox, the Yankees sit 2.5 games ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays and will look to cushion that lead starting on Friday. CC Sabathia (12-3, 3.56 ERA) will take the mound for New York, returning from the disabled list to face his old team..
Cleveland has been suffering struggles of their own, as the club has dropped its last eight and has failed to continue the early success that appeared to make the Tribe a playoff contender. Corey Kluber (0-2, 6.27 ERA) gets the Indians' starting nod.
