It's a beautiful day for golf out on Long Island: the leader hasn't teed off today at Bethpage, but Vijay Singh has put on a strong run in the early going on Friday to put some pressure on Padraig Harrington.
Singh is 3-under on the day through 15 holes to put him in a tie for second with Nick Watney and Brian Harman who, like Harrington, will tee off later. Rickie Fowler is the most prominent name in a group of golfers to climb to two back at 5-under, although Sergio Garcia remains there with his tee time still to come.
John Huh, who was born in New York, has dropped his score by two strokes and is now sitting at 3-under on the tournament. He's tied there with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Luke Donald, all of whom have yet to begin their Friday rounds.
