The 2012 U.S. Open draw was announced Thursday, and in the men's tournament No. 1-seeded Roger Federer will be in the same half as No. 3 Andy Murray, while No. 2 Novak Djokovic is on the opposite side of the bracket. The draw sets up a possible rematch in the semifinals between Federer and Murray, who both met in the Wimbledon finals and the Olympics gold medal match.

Men's quarterfinal match-ups could feature: Federer against Tomas Berdych, Djokovic vs. Juan Martin del Potro, Andy Murray squaring off against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Ferrer paired against Janko Tipsarevic.
On the women's side, top-seeded Victoria Azarenka could face defending champion Sam Stosur in the quarterfinals; while Maria Sharapova could oppose Petra Kvitova, Serena Williams could meet Caroline Wozniacki and Agnieszka Radwanska and Angelique Kerber could square off.
