Syracuse Basketball Recruiting: Orange Target Tyler Roberson Being Pursued By Kentucky

Three weeks after he cut down his list of schools to Syracuse, Kentucky and eight others, Wildcat coaches will reportedly visit and evaluate Roselle (N.J.) Catholic forward Tyler Roberson in September.

SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria confirmed the report via Roberson's coach Dave Boff, who said that Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua will be in attendance, with John Calipari's presence currently unknown.

"They're definitely interested," Boff told Zagoria. "They're definitely going be in to see him a couple times this fall."

A four-star recruit ranked as a top-15 power forward in the class of 2013, the 6'7" Roberson is an athletic and versatile player who will need to bulk up his frame to handle the rigors of top-flight Division I basketball.

But the mere fact that the defending national champions -- who continually churn out one-and-done-caliber players -- has to be positive and raise his value to some degree as Jim Boeheim and a plethorea of other head coaches consider offering Roberson a scholarship.

As of now, however, Roberson has only announced that he will make official visits to Kansas, SMU and Syracuse this fall.
