Mets Vs. Rockies Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers

The New York Mets probably can't wait to get on the field Wednesday night against the Colorado Rockies, if for no other reason than to put Tuesday's game behind them.

The Amazins were anything but, throwing the ball all over the park in what might have been their ugliest loss of the 2012 season.

Now, the Mets turn to rookie Matt Harvey in hopes of a shot in the arm.

Despite being 2-3, Harvey has been excellent since he was called up in July. The 23-year-old has a 3.00 ERA and shut down the powerful Cincinnati Reds in his most recent start. Harvey went 7 2/3 innings and only allowed one run on four hits while striking out eight.

Opposing Harvey will be Jeff Francis, who has been knocked around all year. Francis is 4-4 even with an ERA of 6.07 on the campaign. Since making his way back to Colorado after toiling in Cincinnati's farm system in April and May, Francis hasn't pitched deeper than six innings in any contest.

The Mets still have a chance to salvage a split in this four-game series with Harvey hoping to turn his team's fortunes.
