Syracuse wide receiver Adrian Flemming landed awkwardly after going up for pass during Saturday's scrimmage and was later carted off the field with his left ankle heavily bandaged. According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, the team has yet to release an update on the status of the junior wideout.
The 6-foot-3 197-pound Flemming has reportedly been one of the biggest bright spots for the Orange throughout camp this summer. The injury appeared serious at the time. Flemming reportedly screamed in pain as he lay on the grass for several minutes.
The Orange have had several injury issues at receiver already. Leading returning receiver Alec Lemon sat out the scrimmage due to a minor lower-body injury and redshirt freshman Keenan Hale was sidelined due to undisclosed reasons.
