New York Giants Punter Steve Weatherford Issues Apology For Posting Video

New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford apologized for posting a video online of Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul dunking teammate Prince Amukamara into a cold tub.

Weatherford said on Twitter, "I want to apologize to the fans... The video I posted was distasteful. Our team is a family, and we love each other. I am sorry to the fans."

Giants coach Tom Coughlin was not pleased that the video had been posted online.

"I'm going to look into it. I'm going to talk to the parties involved," Coughlin said. "As I'm understanding it, there were some parts of it that were inappropriate. In no way is anything that occurs within this family or group, should that be a part of any kind of social media. So I'm going to address that thoroughly. I've spent a little time on that this preseason. So I'll look into it further."

SB Nation New York editor Ed Valentine weighed in on the incident earlier, calling it "disturbing."
