Jets Vs. Giants: Mark Sanchez Reacts To Preseason Loss

The struggles continued for the New York Jets during the preseason after their 26-3 loss to the rival New York Giants on Saturday night.

Starting quarterback Mark Sanchez spoke with the media following what was another tough loss. According to Sanchez, head coach Rex Ryan is remaining confident.

"It obviously wasn't our best tonight. We need to put our heads down, keep working, fight through a couple of preseason games and we'll get a chance to play probably the better part of a game with our starters next week...[Ryan] stayed positive, knowing that we're a better team than we showed tonight."

Sanchez struggled to move the ball down the field, including an interception.

"I threw (the ball) a little bit behind PT (Patrick Turner) and the defensive back made a pretty good play, but I have to see it on film. I was accurate for the most part all night. (I) felt good. That just goes to show you how fragile the ball is. If you miss by a little bit in this league, (they will) take the ball back. That's one you'd like to have back and I know I can complete that pass."

The Jets have yet to score a touchdown after two preseason games, but Sanchez vowed that they will improve.

"Like I said, it's not time to hit the panic button. Are we pleased with what we put out there on film tonight? No. Is it our best? Absolutely not. Do I know we can play better than that? Of course, it's got to get better. It starts with studying this week and I know our guys will do that."
