New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw has left the preseason game against the New York Jets to have x-rays taken on his right hand.
Bradshaw apparently hurt himself on a play in the 1st quarter and now is being evaluated by the Giants training staff, according to Mike Garafolo via twitter.
New York is already without Hakeem Nicks due to a foot injury, so losing Bradshaw would be even more of a crippling blow that usual. In the meantime, rookie David Wilson and D.J. Ware are taking the majority of the carries against the Jets.
Last year, Bradshaw was one of the driving forces for the Giants on the way to their second Super Bowl title in four years. The Marshall University product rushed for 659 yards and nine touchdowns as the No. 1 option in the backfield alongside Brandon Jacobs.
Update: Bradshaw is on the bench with doctors still looking at his hand after emerging from the locker room with any kind of wrap or cast, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News.
