MLB Power Rankings: Yankees No. 2, Per YES Network

The New York Yankees are No. 2 overall in the current MLB Power Rankings posted on YESNetwork.com, which, of course, belongs to the Yankees. The Yankees have 114 points in the YES rankings system. The No. 1-ranked Washington Nationals have 118.

YES uses a ranking system that combines 75 percent experts' rankings and 25 percent voters' rankings. You can vote at the power rankings page. Currently, the YES experts have the Yankees No. 3, and the fan voting has them No. 1.

The top five are

  1. Nationals (118 points)
  2. Yankees (114)
  3. Cincinnati Reds (110)
  4. Texas Rangers (110)
  5. Atlanta Braves/Tampa Bay Rays (99)

The New York Mets did not make the YES Top 15.

The Yankees are, of course, currently playing Texas in a four-game series at Yankee Stadium. Follow the constantly updated Yankees-Rangers StoryStream for more information as that series progresses.
