Team USA Basketball Vs. Spain Halftime Score: Americans Lead In Gold Medal Game, 59-58

Team USA went into halftime with a 59-58 lead over Spain in the gold medal game at the London Olympics on Sunday. The Americans were in control from the beginning, with a 35-27 lead after the first quarter despite the sharp shooting of Juan Carlos Navarro, who finished the half with 19 points

Then, Spain hit the U.S. hard with a 15-6 start to the second quarter. The Americans trailed briefly, but led by the scoring of Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony coming off the bench, they were able to make a run and regain the lead before halftime.

Durant went into the half with 17 points, while 'Melo and LeBron James have added eight points apiece. Navarro leads the Spaniards, but Rudy Fernandez also has 12 points, seven of them coming from the free throw line.
