Upstate New York is home to NASCAR action on Saturday, with Watkins Glen hosting the Finger Lakes 335. Schedule for the weekend are a Nationwide Series race and a Sprint Cup race. Qualifying for the Nationwide Series race takes place early Saturday morning, with qualifying for the Sprint Cup cars taking place at 11:40 a.m. ET.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon and others will battle it out in the Sprint Cup point standings. Earnhardt is currently leading in the standings, but he has his eyes on the long run and the Sprint Cup championship. Gordon is hoping to capitalize on some recent luck and improve his chances of a Sprint Cup victory.
The Nationwide race will take place Saturday afternoon, with the 82 lap race starting at 2:15 p.m. The Sprint Cup is scheduled for 90 laps starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
