Team USA Women's Soccer: Abby Wambach's Goal Helps USA Down North Korea, 1-0

Heading into Tuesday's Group G finale, the USA women's soccer team was already headed to the quarterfinals of the 2012 Olympic Games. That didn't stop the squad from letting down, as it defeated North Korea 1-0 at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, to end pool play with an unblemished 3-0 record.

Team USA now awaits its quarterfinal opponent which will be either New Zealand -- if it beats Cameroon -- or Canada -- if Cameroon ties New Zeland or if Canada wins by four or more goals.

America's lone goal came from Rochester, NY native and fan favorite Abby Wambach, who scored at the 25-minute mark after being setup on a nice pass from teammate Alex Morgan. The tally was Wambach's 141st in international competition.
