Team USA Vs. France Final Score: Kevin Durant Leads Americans To Victory, 98-71

So it turns out that Drake and Chris Brown's confrontation at a New York nightclub that resulted in Tony Parker's eye injury didn't ruin Parker's eye or the opening Olympic basketball matchup between Team USA and France. Everything went along as planned, as the Americans used the second and third quarters to separate themselves from the Frenchmen and win, 98-71

Team USA led by just one point following the first quarter, but in the second they took off and outscored France, 30-15. They picked up where they left off in the third quarter as well, before being neutralized in the fourth. But at that point, Team USA was already in control.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Americans with 22 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Love put up 14 points, while Kobe Bryant added 10. Carmelo Anthony had nine points and nine boards, while Tyson Chandler chipped in eight points and nine rebounds.

Ali Traore put up 12 points to lead France, while Tony Parker added 10.
