The New York Knicks will be playing on the biggest day of the regular season as they will take on the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center on Christmas Day, according to Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register.

The Knicks will be taking on a Lakers team with a few new pieces this season, as point guard Steve Nash and power forward Antwan Jamison both joined Los Angeles over the offseason.

While the official schedule will not be released until 7 p.m. ET on NBA TV, the schedule is starting to leak. This is the second marquee game released, as it was reported earlier this week that the Knicks would open the season against the Brooklyn Nets at the brand new Barclays Center.
