The 2012-13 regular season schedule will officially be released Thursday, however, New York basketball fans got a bit of a sneak peak Wednesday from New York Newsday reporter Al Iannazzone about the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets season openers.
↵According to Iannazzone, the two NY based franchises will play each other on Nov. 1 in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. The game time is not yet known, but it will be shown on TNT a source told Iannazzone.
↵↵↵The Knicks will hold their home opener the next night at The Garden against LeBron James and the NBA champion Miami Heat, according to a report.

On Thursday, the NBA will release its entire schedule during a NBA TV special starting at 7 p.m. ET.
