NFL Arrests: Osi Umenyiora Believes Players Should Be More Like Tim Tebow

The 2012 NFL offseason has been riddled with off-the-field trouble and arrests. So far, 31 players of 21 different organizations, have had some trouble with the law, and according to New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora that number is just "ridiculous".

Umenyiora, who hasn't been a fan favorite at times because of contract and attitude issues but never has been in trouble with the law, told New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano, at NYC's M&M store, that players should try to be like New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

Umenyiora, who considers himself the best defensive end in the league, also said the NFL veterans need to set a better example for younger players, much like Tebow does.

↵

Vacchiano did not tweet any comment about whether or not Umenyiora believes if Tebow will be a successful quarterback or not. However, its clear that there are players out there who respect how Tebow does his business off-the-field.
