Raymond Felton of the New York Knicks said earlier this week he believes he is a better point guard than the recently-departed Jeremy Lin. Felton has now gotten some support from veteran guard Jerry Stackhouse, a new member of the Brooklyn Nets.
↵“I think it was a situation where Lin was great for them last year but I think going forward that was a little bit too much to pay for a guy that only played 25 games for you,” Stackhouse said. “He did a great job. He was part of their success last year but I think with Raymond Felton becoming available, I feel like he’s a better point guard than Jeremy Lin right now.”
↵If this were the NFL, those comments might earn Stackhouse a 15-yard penalty for piling on.
↵Only time will tell, of course. For the Knicks' sake, though, Felton -- and Stackhouse -- had better be right. Otherwise, things could get ugly at Madison Square Garden.
