Team USA Vs. Great Britain Final Score: Deron Williams, Carmelo Anthony Lead USA To 118-78 Win

Team USA Basketball continued its Olympic tune-up games with a 118-78 win over Great Britain on Thursday at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Team USA was led in scoring by Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams and New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony. Both players had 19 points. Four other players scored in double figures for the U.S. Knicks center Tyson Chandler only played 10 minutes and had two blocks, a rebound and an assist. Luol Deng of the Chicago Bulls was the leading scorer for Great Britain with a game-high 25 points.

The U.S. opened with a 33-20 advantage after the first quarter of this game and didn't look back. Team USA had built the lead to 55-37 at halftime despite hot shooting from Team GB from behind the arc (12/23 for the game). Team USA's ability to dominate the points in the paint and the turnover battle was really on display in the third quarter in which Great Britain was outscored, 34-18. For the game Team USA scored 64 points in the paint to just 18 for Great Britain. The 28 turnovers the USA forced were a major part of the U.S.'s 34 fast break points.
