New York Jets Training Camp: Preview, Schedule, Tebowmania

Tebowmania will be coming to tiny Cortland, N.Y. when the New York Jets open their 2012 Training Camp at SUNY Cortland on July 28. The Jets will also be conducting practices at Hofstra University and their own training center in Florham Park.

Tim Tebow, of course, is the central attraction as the Jets open preparations for 2012, hoping to improve on a 2011 season that saw them go 8-8 and miss the playoffs for the first time in Rex Ryan's three seasons as head coach.

In Cortland, many in the community are just hoping to get a piece of Tebow, acquired by the Jets from the Denver Broncos during the offseason.

"A couple months ago, I got a call from a church group, then another and I thought it was interesting, not groups we normally get calls from," Jim Dempsey of the Cortland County Convention and Visitors Bureau said. "Right now, we have no way of knowing how many more groups will come because of Tim Tebow.

"But we expect a lot."
