While they were big winners off the court on Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets were unable to come up with their first win in the Orlando Summer League, dropping a 79-71 decision to the Philadelphia 76ers.
↵Brooklyn (0-3) led by as many as 12 at one point, but could not overcome the sharp shooting of the Sixers’ Justin Holiday, who went a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range en route to a game-high 18 points. Justin, the younger brother of current Philly star Jrue Holiday, also added a team-high six rebounds, and Xavier Silas chipped in 12 points and four boards for the Sixers (1-2) as well.
↵MarShon Brooks had a solid all-around game for the Nets, who had four players score in double figures. Brooks led the team by matching Holiday’s game-high 18, while also contributing three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
