The tee times and pairings for the 2012 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif. have been announced.
Rory McIlroy, the defending U.S. Open champion, will start his tournament on June 14 at 1:29 p.m. and 7:44 a.m. on June 15. He will be paired with Luke Donald and Lee Westwood. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson's group starts at 7:33 a.m. on June 14 and 1:18 p.m. on June 15 and will likely draw the most attention on Thursday and Friday.
St. John's grad Keegan Bradley will tee off at 8:32 a.m. on the first day of the tournament and 1:47 p.m. on the second day. He will be paired with Adam Scott and Webb Simpson. This will be the first appearance at the U.S. Open for Bradley.
Rochester native Tim Weinhart will be teeing off at 9:12 a.m. on Thursday with Hunter Hamrick and Scott Smith and at 2:57 p.m. on Friday. Two New Jersey residents, Brian Gaffney and Mark McCormick, will be in the tournament as well. Gaffney tees off at 2:57 p.m. on Thursday and 9:12 a.m. on Friday with Brian Rowell and amateur Alberto Sanchez. McCormick will tee off at 9:27 a.m. on Thursday and 2:42 p.m. on Friday with amateur Nick Sherwood and Cole Howard.
